St Mary's, Strelley |

St Michael and All Angels, Bramcote |
Richard
Roulstone was born at Netherseal, Leicestershire but moved to the village
of Strelley in Nottinghamshire where he worked as a gardener for the
Edge family at Strelley Hall. He married Mary Wells in Strelley and they brought up their six surviving children in the village. Sadly their second child, Mary, was buried less than three weeks after her baptism.
By 1851 the family had moved to 7 Court Yard, Bramcote where Richard continued to work as a gardener. Richard and Mary both died of 'old age' and are buried
at St Michael and All Angels in Bramcote along with their daughter, Jane.
Further info tracing the Roulstone line
back to the 17th century is available on Simon Roulstone's website - www.roulstone.net (the site will open in a new window).
